As Ten Year Anniversary of 9/11 Approaches, Foodtown Supermarkets Kick-Off Fundraising Drive for America ’s Troops.
In honor of the ten-year anniversary of the horrific attacks on 9/11 that affected the lives of all Americans, Foodtown Supermarkets held the “Foodtown Supports Our Troops Kick-Off Event” on August 12, 2011, to announce the start of their Dollar Donation Drive benefiting The G.I. Go Fund and the returning combat troops.
The kick-off event honored Foodtown Chairman and CEO David Maniaci for his leadership in assisting the men and women serving in our Armed Forces. Mr. Maniaci also serves as the owner of the Foodtown stores in North Haledon and Cedar Grove, which were the top earning supermarkets during previous donation drives for our military service members.
